I always considered myself to be a bit unruly at times. I was always known for going against the current, walking to the beat of my own steps, and not giving a hoot about what other people thought. It can't be forced though, either you have that sense of self-power or not, and that's okay.

To be unruly is not just to be chaotic and difficult. It can also mean that you're alive in way that's purely yours. There's no asking approval, you do what you want and no one can tell you no. Unruliness is like a movement. You could be in different places at once and no one can catch you. It's a refusal to be predictable, and that's what makes it so intriguing. Many forms of art, storytelling, and cultural change came from people who were willing to step outside what was considered proper or acceptable, they revolted for themselves. It's a kind of energy that is strong and proud, that pushes against boundaries and explores what exists beyond them. At the same time, being unruly can be misunderstood. It can be labeled as disruptive or inconvenient. Anytime something disrupts society's natural rhythm, it can be seen as hard to understand. There's a personal dimension to unruliness, like showing up as a refusal to conform to expectations about identity. It doesn't mean careless though.
